The sequel to Hero's Quest I, Quest for Glory II is one of the few games that, in some ways, surpasses its predecessor. It is more replayable than the previous game, with each of the three character types following very different paths from start to end, each requiring different items, skills, and ways of thinking. In addition, each has a different ending, leading to a beautifully done and effective reward sequence. Though the game works best as a continuation of the stories and characters begun in the previous game, it nevertheless stands on its own as well. Beautifully rendered graphics and well-executed atmospheric music and sound effects round out the package of Quest for Glory II, one of Sierra's finest adventure games ever.
