The Mummy's Curse (Highland Computer Services, 1981)

Another early graphics game in the style of the early On-Line Systems games, The Mummy's Curse's plot concerned only finding the death mask of an Egyptian king. Despite the static plot, magic spells resembling alchemy which were cast with religious symbols of Egyptian gods added some very interesting flavor to the game. The game also covered a relatively large area (for the time), and had a few interesting puzzles. Unfortunately, the game could not be won simply by puzzle solving, but required a technical trick that devalued the ending somewhat. If you can find this game (probably nearly impossible, as I only ever saw it on the Apple II), you may want to play it for the novelty value. Though hardly a great game by today's standards, it nevertheless is an interesting and fascinating window into early computer gaming.
