Dungeon Master (FTL, 1987)

The pioneer in the field of three-dimension computer role-playing games, Dungeon Master was a remarkable gaming experience and amazingly complex for the year it was made. The dungeons which your party of four (selected out of twenty-four possible champions, which makes for much variety and replayability) traverse are rendered in great detail both graphic-wise and sound wise. There is also a unique magic system and a real-time environment, with numerous other realistic touches. Though superseded graphically by games such as Eye of the Beholder and Ultima Underworld, this is a classic RPG worthy of play by anyone.
