It is unsurprising that this game is so similar in design and scope to Conquests of Camelot, since it was designed by the same people, with the same idea in mind. While the story they wanted to tell turned out better in this game, and more puzzles came from sources other than the documentation, the characterizations of this game left quite a bit to be desired. There was little believability in the romantic elements of this game, or the portions of the game that involve the various quests. A very colorful game, but a poor rewrite of the Robin Hood legend, this game may have been better if the designers had relied less on the cliches and more on their own, original ideas.
