Betrayal at Krondor (Dynamix, 1993)

Though a very popular game that a lot of people liked, I never really understood the appeal of Betrayal at Krondor. Little more than a typical adventure/role-playing mesh, this game did have a fairly interesting story that evolved in the form of several chapters, but beyond that, there was little to like about this game. One of the main focuses of the game, the combat, suffered from a very unintuitive engine and great imbalance, especially in the early portions of the game. The game's simplistic and highly unoriginal puzzles generally concerned little more than walking the great distance from town to town, carrying items or information back or forth, or the occasional slaying of several monsters in a pedantic way unmatched by most other CRPGs. There is no real reason to play this game.
