Personal Information

I attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Whatcom Middle School, and Sehome High School in Bellingham before attending Washington State University in Pullman, Washington for two years, and Western Washington University (in Bellingham) for the rest of my college career.
Thanks to a very high score on a high school advanced placement test, I was able to qualify for the German minor at WSU by the end of my second year there, but the credits did not transfer completely to WSU.
I graduated from WWU with a major in Theatre Arts (with a playwriting emphasis) and a minor in Internet Resource Creation and Management.

I have been involved in online activities since approximately 1990 when I joined the original Prodigy and became actively involved in local bulletin board systems (BBSes).
I have been on the Internet proper since 1993.
This site was begun in 1994 and originally located at Washington State University. When I transferred to Western Washington University in 1996, the page moved as well, staying there for almost two years after my graduation. It found its new, hopefully permanent, home at www.matthewmurray.net in August of 2001.
